Last Music in the Park

And so another summer is coming to a close. It was another great season of neighbors and friends picnicking, drinking, and dancing in the park (ok Ayla did all the dancing).

Sunday Funday

Dressed for the Farmer's Market

I took a million pics of her eating these Popsicles because they're just THAT good. Local-healthy yumminess (and they were featured in Sunset Magazine!)

Lip licking good!

I picked this corn!

On-demand coloring - Ayla demands that mommy draw a certain picture... then she colors it (3 witches and 2 princesses)

Cinderella and Castles

Ayla loves "castles" and she loves Cinderella . When I found the princess ribbon, I knew I could make a fun bow, but when I came across this castle button... I knew I was going to make the most ridiculous, girly, princess bow ever. Bob said I definitely succeeded.

Cinderella bow, "princess dress" and sparkle Tom's

A hem, she also picked a Cinderella band-aid for her finger boo boo

Fun Summer Hair Bows

How to make easy and fun summer pigtails bows

1.) First I pick different width and textured ribbons to match a shirt, a holiday or an inspiration.

2.)Then I sew a four loop twisted bow in each of the ribbons
PS - if you don't know how to do this here is a youtube tutorial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyMRR5jDYSc

3.)And stack the bows, secured with string.

4.)Sew in a pig tail holder

5.) pin the center ribbon to hold in place for glue gun (notice I sewed on a fun accent button)

6.) glue gun accent ribbon around bow and hair tie

Voila!

Finished bows with the inspiration shirt...
